This 0.64-hectare vineyard is a monopole for Ben. It’s an extension of the La Cave village-level vineyard above it on the hill, but inside the village, which creates a warmer environment. As a result, the wine is not as expansively aromatic as the best Premiers Crus but, by contrast, has a more old-fashioned aspect of solid dependability, which Ben successfully enhances with 20% whole-bunch. Drink 2024-2029.
