ready-improve2017 Nuits-St Georges, Clos de la Fontaine Jacquinots, Domaine Henri Gouges

One plot from within Les Crots vineyard, separated for some whole bunch vinification (50%) to see what that gives at a domaine which usually destems everything. The colour is very similar to the regular Nuits, possibly a touch more purple. There is a heady, vibrant nose, cherries and dark strawberries. More sensual, almost ethereal, has avoided extracting anything tough. Very persistent.
