Old Potrero 18th Century Style Pot Distilled Whiskey Single Malt, 51.2%
A cinnamon, nutmeg and peppery nose immediately thrusts the spicy signature of rye into the forefront of the conversation, with the savoury palate and moreishly dry finish confirming this impression. The gentle toasting of the barrels allows the oak to speak more quietly than in many American whiskies, moving more towards complex pecan and walnut, rather than luxuriant macadamia.

Blue Hanger, 11th Release, Blended Malt Whisky, 45.6%
So called because of the shade of clothes he wore as a young man, William ‘Blue’ Hanger, Lord Coleraine, was a loyal customer of Berrys at the end of the 18th century, and the best dressed man of his day. This exceptional and very limited Blended Malt is just as impeccably turned out, with bewitching aromas of orange peel, vanilla and peat-smoke. The palate is luscious and complex leading to the fruity, smoky finale.

Berrys' Islay Reserve, Blended Malt Whisky, 46.0%
The small Hebridean island of Islay is famous for its heavily peat-smoke flavoured Malt Whiskies. Beyond the obvious peatiness each Islay Malt Whisky offers its own signature. Our Reserve has been created by our blenders to capture the very essence of the Islay style. Aromas reminiscent of quaysides emerge. Beyond the distinctive smoky core, there is a seam of subtle yellow fruit. The deep smokiness of the palate leaves a kiss of peat which lingers long into the finish. In short, this is an Islay drinker’s Islay.

The aromas are crisp, clean and fruity with a drift of salt breeze. To taste, it is quite assertive with the fruitiness cut by a slightly dry edge and lingering salty tang, perhaps as a reminder of the distillery's coastal location.

2010 Berry Bros. & Rudd Auchroisk, Cask No 807784, Speyside, Single Malt Whisky (61%)
Auchroisk roughly translates from Gaelic as "shallow ford across the red river". This refers to the proximity of the distillery to the Mulben Burn, although it is the quality of water drawn from Dorie’s Well that is said to have decided the location of Auchroisk prior to construction in 1972.
There is a sweet fruitiness to the nose, with notes of red apple skin and custard cut by hints of paprika. The palate is thick and generous, with spice returning to add an enlivening and unusual kick to the fruit and rosewater elements. It’s lingering and complex to the last.

2009 Berry Bros. & Rudd Glen Spey, Cask Ref 804620, 10-Years, Single Malt Scotch Whisky (57.2%)
Originally known as Millhaugh, an extension to the Mill of Rothes, Glen Spey was converted from an oatmeal mill in 1878. The distillery is one of just a handful that use purifiers on the stills, resulting in greater reflux that leads to a lighter style of spirit.
The nose here is bright and fresh, with well-woven fruit notes accompanied by light buttery characteristics and a trace of smokiness. On the palate, sweet and rounded fruit is cut through with some nice toasty notes. Lingering, elegant and charming to the last.

The King's Ginger, 29.9%
First crafted by Berry Bros. & Rudd for King Edward VII in 1903, our new formula is golden in colour and delightfully robust in flavour. A revitalising and warming spirit that brings people together. The King’s Ginger is wonderfully uplifting when enjoyed on its own and comes to life in many delicious cocktails. It’s the perfect foundation for any occasion.
We’re delighted that the latest iteration of The King’s Ginger was awarded a gold medal by the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2021.
Originally made by Berry Bros & Rudd for King Edward VII, this has become a bit of a Christmas classic, its pure gingery spiciness working very well in solo-digestif style or as the partner, with a good Scotch blended whisky, in lieu of ginger wine in a souped-up whisky mac.
David Williams, Mix with the best this Christmas, The Guardian (December 2020)Originally formulated by Berry Bros. & Rudd for King Edward VII, The King's Ginger is beautifully warming, revivifying elixir with a spicy-yet-honeyed flavour, perfect for the wintery outdoors.
Joel Harrison, Daily Telegraph (November 2020)Another fancy way of cheating at mulled wine. This is a delicious sweet liqueur made with citrus fruits and ginger. Add a little of King’s Ginger with some citrus fruit and sugar to hot wine, or even better, cider, for a delicious warming drink.
