ready-keep2014 Nuits-St Georges, Les Vaucrains, 1er Cru, Domaine Jean Chauvenet

Deep cherry red. Very ripe-fruited – this, and some of the others in this range smell and look almost more like Grenache than Pinot Noir. Again this just avoids over-ripeness and will appeal more if you prefer a big flavourful style over lighter finesse. Thick, chewy texture but persistent.
