Plums, black cherry jam, grilled herbs, menthol and smoke are all very much alive in the 2004 Darmagi, Gajas Cabernet Sauvignon from the vineyard in Barbaresco just below his home. Sweet, ample and textured in the glass, the 2004 impresses for its resonant, expressive personality and super-refined finish. In 2004, Darmagi is full of varietal character, but also offers superb finesse throughout. The 2004 has really blossomed over the last few years.
