One of the most outstanding vintages for Trimbach's Clos Ste.-Hune, the 1983 is a potent, rich, amazingly well-delineated, youthful wine with a nose of honeyed green apples, liquid slate, and that petroleum note that is so much a part of the finest Rieslings from Alsace. Extremely youthful but massive, this is about as big, rich, and dry as Riesling can get.
