One of the greatest vintages for Trimbach's Clos Ste.-Hune, the 1983 is an extremely powerful, rich, amazingly well-delineated, youthful wine with a nose of honeyed green apples, liquid slate, and that petroleum note that is so much a part of the finest Rieslings from Alsace. Extremely youthful, but massive, this is about as big, rich, and dry as Riesling can get.  - Wine Advocate
