2008 Berry Bros. & Rudd Benriach, Cask Ref 146, Single Malt Scotch Whisky, (46%)

The nose provides steely barley notes with dustings of peat until the underlying fruits awaken.  There is banana and melon, autumnal berries with some leather adding maturity. The palate is generous with more peaty notes and swells to release the fruits. A beautifully composed malt that gives a feel of maturity beyond its years.
